I’ve always been a sucker for extreme detail. Probably explains why I became a designer. I’ve seen J. Powers Bowman's work on a few blogs and on Juxtapoz and it hurt my brain (in that sort of this-is-blowing-my-mind-so-much-it-hurts way). He refers to these amazing works as self collaborations and creates them through drawing, photocopying, cutting and drawing. Enjoy.

Sorry for such a long, long lapse in time before I got around to this next post. Its so easy to let little things like life get in the way sometimes. But I digress. This lovely work by Danish designer Kristina Krogh has been rotating around the blogosphere for awhile now but I just had to share it.

Kristina says she uses a mix of “exclusive and cheap textual materials” such as marble, plywood, natural materials, etc. Well I’m a fan. Check out her website if you get the chance. And her graphic design work is pretty swell too!

A sea of products is seriously a stressful, surreal experience compared to anything I find outdoors. #consumersociety

The weather is miserable and I’m under it (what’s new). I’ve been indoors all day going through design and photography books, in-between little miss time . My favorite right now is this Tea & Coffee Piazza.

I love citrus fruit. I just got some beautiful blood oranges from the market. They are so delightful. Does anyone else enjoy eating oranges while drinking coffee? I think that is one of my favorite things to do.

A preview of things to come. We are very excited and thrilled to be doing this. Can you guess??

I’ve started work on ornaments. This involved a good hour of reading confusing directions, folding paper, crumpling paper, getting frustrated, walking away, and then finally figuring it out. I’m also using the paper for holiday cards this year. I’ll share if the idea doesn’t end up sucking.

Wow, AIGA featured one of my last projects at SAM through their Justified competition! So exciting! You can read about it here. Too bad they didn’t talk about the work on the installation itself (cutting out 34 letters in white fur and stapling them to the wall). For that adventure, you can read about it here.
